Get Online Week 2025 event, Seven Days of Suburbia, was a fun, creative, and vibrant project where participants received a daily email featuring an allotted theme. Each day, they were invited to take and share photos of one or more objects matching that theme, emailing their images back to Artworks Community Studio.

Over seven days, participants embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and imagination, discovering new and creative ways of seeing their suburb and everyday surroundings. They also developed valuable digital and photographic skills, learning how to take more thoughtful and creative photos using their phones and tablets.

This year’s Seven Days of Suburbia was our most successful yet, with participants joining us from across Australia — 23 from our local area in SA, 2 from WA, 1 from NSW, 1 from Denver USA, and 1 from Wales, who found out it on our website. Together, they submitted a record number of photos (476) over the week, capturing the beauty of their communities, environments, and natural surroundings.

The results were outstanding! Participants not only created a stunning collection of images but also gained a deeper appreciation of their suburb, plus for creativity, observation, and digital participation.

It was a resounding success — congratulations to everyone involved!
