The creative watercolour class had a very exciting term learning all about the wonderful world of watercolour.   We started off by exploring the loose and fluid nature of watercolour by creating an abstract background using rock salt to make patterns in the paint.  We then turned this background into a botanical painting.  Then exploring more traditional watercolour techniques we looked at landscapes, creating our own landscape painting from photo reference.  Our Final project was looking deeper into botanical painting and exploring different styles including a still life.  All of these wonderful techniques will now be applied to the creation of an artist book which the class will be creating in term 2.
