Participants in Heather Lorenzon’s Mixed media class had fun exercising their Creative Brains during Term 1. They explored a wide variety of drawing and painting techniques and media. Participants gained tips and techniques. Many expressed that they were much more confident now and felt that they had gained the ability to draw just about anything. They also explored the tonal values of colour, pencil and charcoal to make things look realistic. This term they are exploring the wide range of possibilities offered through water-based painting media, eg, creating textures etc. They are enjoying creating their own paintings using their new found artistic skills.
